Hi Kamold, followed Steve's source and software updated successfully but after final reboot the unit is still looping and rebooting, am I missing something, please advise? Can email images across which I have taken. Thanks in advance.

Just need to obtain maps and ill be cooking on gas again.

First of all thanks for all the info and work on this topic! I too want to update my RNS 510 and want to make sure i have the right version. After reading all the posts In this topic i was pretty sure that i needed fw4120, untill you recommended fw5238 in the last few post to some users. Which one should i use? Fw4120 or 5238 and why?

On the RNS sticker (have no secret menu)

That means it can't read the CD.
Burn it again using cdburnerxp or imgburn at slowest possible speed.
Do you mean sw 3810?

I upgrade 2 years ago my RNS 510 type B to 4120 firmware. Unit become a D version....

Could you please confirmed :

- 5238 firmware is the best way and last firmware for a 2010 Golf 6R.
- Normally this upgrade keep codage
