I have realised I do have the secret menu. I have the latest version of the maps but I have realised I have the hw radio version starting with hw 003xxxxxx this means I cant update my firmware to version 4120?

Hi kamold,

I did the upgrade from 2720 to 4120 successfully. took about 45 minutes.
Noticed the following after the upgrade:
1. Requested for the Maps DVD to be mounted for a reload. I put the DVD, it reloaded and all is good. The last destinations were preserved.
2. The VIM still works.
3. There is a Radio Text option which is great.
4. The music files on my HDD was erased, had to reload it.

The only issue I have is the secret menu does not work now. Using VCDS I checked that the Development/Test menu is enabled (Navigation->Adaptation 50-> value is 1). However pressing the 'setup' key and holding it down does not activate the secret menu. I have even set the Adaptation value to zero, rebooted, then set it back to 1 and rebooted but no joy.

Any input to correct this would be appreciated.

I found the problem. I was using the * button beside the DVD eject button. This used to work but not anymore. Using the Setup button works. So all is good. Also loaded your POI's and all is good. Thanks for the information and the files.

Successfully updated my RNS 510 (H LED version) that wasnt on the list in the first post without issues, and also upgraded to the new "V6" maps while I was at it.

Only hitch seems that the GPS lock gets lost, will have to drive about tomorrow to get the lock back on. Catch 22 of my GPS antenna being in the door pillar

As noted above, I have Upgraded to 3810 with V6 months.

Since the upgrade, Lane Guidance doesn't work. Anyone else have this and know of a fix?

Yes I DO. It's in the 'extras' menu. I turned it off and on to see if that would make a difference.

I have an 'A' unit so I can't go to 4120. Has anyone else got experience with this on 3810?

Not this experience, but I did have some issues when I upgraded the A unit in the R32. IIRC....I went back to FW1100, and incrementally upgraded it t0 4020 (highest you can go with an A unit).

Absolutley no issues with the unit now. Performs very well.

I have 1T0035680B and just upgraded to FW38xx without any issues. I also installed V6 maps without any issues, however I noticed I am not getting any speed camera notifications (they are not listed in my POIs either).

I tried importing a custom POI from this forum and noticed the option was disabled. Could anyone please advise which firmware I can upgrade / downgrade to in order to activate POI?

My device is a 1T0035680B HW03.

Absolutley no issues with the unit now. Performs very well.

I also have a problem were every time I start the car the map zoom goes back to 50m. It doesn't remember its setting.

You already have the right firmware.
You need to follow the instructions carefully including the naming and location of the poi file on the SDcard in order to import it.

Where do I find a 4020 link? the ones at the beginning of the thread are no longer working
