    Hi everyone,
    My Audi S3 8p has a problem where i was driving home and the temp needle started to rise on a very hot day and traffic, so pulled over and looking for a shaded park the temp went down to normal straight away, so i drove home carefully dodging traffic.
    In the garage i left the engine on and noticed no fans running and tried the air con on and still both fans not running. Took awhile for the temp to rise again.
    Air con is working but receiving warm air. Slightly cool at first.

    I got it scanned with a OBDeleven and these are the fault codes.
    Can someone please explain them and what do i need to do and what parts etc, with out using a Audi dealer. Thanks

    First thing to check would be the engine fan's fuse.
    Check your manual for the location, its probably a fairly big fuse like 50amp or something.

      If its the connection to the fans that faulty, can you use wire connectors and heat shrink. Would that cause an issue with scanning?

        The errors are telling you that there is a problem with a fan (blower) it is not a 'scanning issue'.
        Check the fan fuse first (in the fusebox). It may be blown.
        If you aren't confident checking this then go to a mechanic or auto electrician.

            Check the manual?
            It's either in the fusebox next to the driver in end of dash panel or under the bonnet.
            More likely the latter I would think for engine fan fuse.

              While checking the fuse I would also be checking that the fan is plugged in... Unplug it, blow out the connector and plug it back in for good measure.

              If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

                Is this the same location as the link you posted or is it some where else? Some one else had the same problem and replaced the 50 amp fuse on the 3rd cable.

                  Do you have a bad fuse? If so replace it.

                    Do you have a multimeter or a test light to test across the fuse?

                    If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

                            It ended up being the connection plug wasnt quite connected.
                            The fans now work but still both coming on high speed for about 5 minutes after engine is turned off.
                            I replaced the coolant temp. sensor next to the battery but that didnt fix it.
                            No fault codes.
                            Does any one know where all the temp. sensors are?

                              The fans will run to cool the engine and particularly the turbo.
                              Is the engine temp now normal when driving?
                              Sound like you've already fixed the problem?
