Maybe time to start a new clean thread, close this one (with a link back to this one for reference) to draw a line in the sand. Up to you if you want to keep this up Gavin. If you want to start a new thread I can do all the admin actions to pin it and close this one out.
People should include suburb, state and postcode to help with location and maybe what sort of cable they have.
For me: Aaron - Kilsyth VIC 3137 - Genuine RossTech
If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
VCDS (cant do MQB generation, but works on anything older like Mk6/Mk5 Golf etc)
Carista (which does work on MQB generation vehicles but isnt as powerful as VCDS)
It’s been a while, but from memory you won’t get bendy lines since there’s a part in the steering wheel you need too, it also can’t be calibrated outside the factory. I’m questioning that memory a little and maybe they do still turn, but I’m about 80% they don’t.
At the very least you can turn it on and make it work as a RVC.

Yes the lines turned in my install so ignore my previous comments and good luck finding someone local to lend a hand getting it coded. Assuming it all works as it should, it's a very quick job.
