Gents, just a quick question on hardware for the install- went down to reco today and asked for the parts for the s3 FMIC install and just released they have me 2 and 3/4 inch hose clamps and the right size bolts just with a socket head- will these units still be suitable, particularly the larger hose clamp?

So finally stopped umm-ing and ahh-ing and grabbed the s3 cooler today!! So hoping it makes it's way swiftly as I'm dying to get it in.

RyanR how long was yours in transit?

On the downside the cars in for it's 3rd replacement water pump and supercharger clutch replacement next Tuesday ( dealer reckons this is an actual fix not just a band aid like previous fixes) and the dealer is also replacing the heat shield under the bonnet that started eroding as well.

So on the downside I'll be waiting til that's done.

Then I have to drive in to work later this week to get it (won't be carrying it on the train)

Hey Ryan, good to see someone else doing some nice mods to their 118tsi.

My S3 FMIC cooler came in its original box wrapped in bubble wrap. The only parts you will need are 9 M6x1x20mm long bolts and 2 2.5" hose clamps.

About to order the S3 FMIC. Does anyone know how it arrives (i.e. boxed)? Would rather have it delivered to the office but not if it's obvious what I've purchased (although a box that size would probably raise questions anyway).

What extras will I need to get to make it fit in the 118TSI engine bay?

sound from the intake is so sick !!! will get annoy especially in stop start traffic every morning going to work.
think we should all get a group tune, might work out cheaper ...

The intake on the Polo makes a huge difference, its a different design to the Golf version so there is no telling if you get similar gains or more or less until you fully test it. Ask Forge for their test data?

The test vehicle had stage1 and intercooler upgrade and with intake made extra 10kw. Total with those mods was 140kw at the wheels.
