Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Blow off Valve (Vents to atmosphere), Diverter Valve (Vents back to intake) are same thing...What i mean is, is the vlave remaining closed on full boost and full throttle and not allowing boost to leak...Just want to make sure that the boost level is not also forcing open the DV.
btw, your a spastic re your comment in the other thread! lolLast edited by KRA21E; 01-10-2011, 04:19 PM.Absolutely loving my Golf R and hearing the Miss' scream when it come's on boost!!

You haven't answered why you think this is happening? Have you noticed a sudden change? What's happened to make you question it?Golf R - 77TSI engine transplant, 91ron tune, & a crochet rug on the parcel shelf

Nothing happened, I was just thinking if w are changing the wastegate to make it more reliable, should we beefing up the dv aswell...it very easy to change the spring in the dv, trust me, once you un bolt it, it all just comes apart.Absolutely loving my Golf R and hearing the Miss' scream when it come's on boost!!

I don't even know where it is, very easy on a wrx on the top, but if it's in a more difficult spot then it was a good point to think about while you were doing the actuator - now it makes sense.Golf R - 77TSI engine transplant, 91ron tune, & a crochet rug on the parcel shelf

Had the car custom tuned today by Mark at recode.
198kw atw with TXS downpipe and Autotech pump internals. There was more room for boost but he pulled it back until I get some other bits done.
It's mental to drive and exceeded expectations. I'm dying to see how much power these cars make with RS4 valve, actuator and FMIC upgrade as I can see huge room for improvement.
Mark can post up the dyno if he is happy to do so.

Oh you mean this thing
As usual 10Kph Ramp 4th gear - not that it makes any difference
Note the stock power. This has me stuffed. It has in stock form somehow benefited from the TXS Dump pipe much as my previous logging and dyno runs have shown not to be the case in the past. The difference is Glen has driven with the TXS/ insert pipe of your choice.... for over 2000kms and not 2 minutes after a remap, I expected the typical 155~160kW atw but no. I will investigate this in more detail when time permits. I have full logs to show the fueling, ignition timing and boost control with the totally stock arrangement, its fine - Apart from the Cat efficiency CEL that you'll see, that won't be an issue with the current file ...
We did a heap of runs and in hindsight I could have chosen better runs to show the gains but you get the picture
Goes hard

That is different to the printout that i have...oh well, much of a muchness...We really need to work on rounding out that midrange from 3-5k and fix that dip above 6k!!Absolutely loving my Golf R and hearing the Miss' scream when it come's on boost!!

I have to choose the runs to print out and there are quite a lot most will be pretty similar. I usually do 8 runs per modified file, 6 minimum plus ones where I have screwed up due the kickdown switch, traction control, gear selected etc etc.... Doh !
Edit: that's actually a crap run to put up as the top end in yours is pretty flat sloping off ATMLast edited by parso_rex; 07-10-2011, 10:32 PM.

Great results Mark.
Quick update with mine.
Had my TurboXS DP & Cat installed during the week, replacing the APR DP.
Will be logging this week and GIAC will be tweaking the file in light of the hardware changes made.
Had a before and after dyno run done on a mainline dyno, tune unchanged .

Fab - no offence, but you have spend sooo much cash on this car and changing tunes and parts etc etc.. You are obviously not short of a dollar. Why dont you just strap a Garret GT30 / GT32 / GT35 or something onto a custom manifold, get Recode to tune it and get the thing pulling 250-260 kw at the wheels. Then you'll be doing a 12 flat down the quarter. There will be no need for more power.
