No i'm going to stand by the Australia thing. His mustang got 3rd at the bogan (Read: summer) nats the year after he did it. The judges said it would have won if it didn't have 12 slotters on it (no that he really cared about a trophy).

By the way, he had the first holden into the 15s,14s,13s AND 12s. So cop that.

Well i was half way through. Then these popped up on ebay cheap as hell. So i scored one. Plus they are all aluminium, and therefore much, much lighter.

Got my crank and rods back today. The crank has been ground, gallery plugs pulled, galleries flushed. Apparently the crank was absolutely full of crap, which really doesn't surprise me considering the internal condition of the rest of the engine...

The rods have also been balanced to "within bugger all" (or 0.1gm).

Next up is the block. But maybe after christmas. I need to save money for presents etc and Rego for the caddy in January (real bastard of a time to have rego come up..).

That is very true. Although i was never going to run the engine without pulling it down, so it really doesn't matter..
