Cool. I'll try my best to find a Mk2 in my local area before resorting to an interstate purchase. Damn freight costs!

I know a mk3 was mentioned earlier but have you thought about a polo or a seat ibiza?

          New MkII!

Hey, i may have found a new mk2! Joe up at GOLFWAGEN called me this morning after hearing one of his other customers desperately needed to sell his '91 5-door GTI. WOOHOO! Its red and has big bumpers of course, but who cares its a mk2 GTI for $4000, right when i need it!
Havent officially bought it yet but looks like a goer. If so, project Golfballs is back on! Still waiting on insurance.
btw, for those of you who wanted pics, there's some of the S3 bits and unloading the car in the "wrecking" thread.

            Booohooo

            DAMMIT!
That red GTI was sold yesterday, so there goes that idea.
I did get my insurance money though, and i can keep the car.
Anyhoo, back to the mk2 hunting....

Its not that bent really, panel wise anyway everythings fine. but the main damage is the metal front slam panel under the bumper, splitter/spoiler, the front bumper is a little skew-wiff, front pass suspension and rim is f@#!ed, securing tabs on bottom of grille popped out, windscreen.
Like i said, the sudden impact from under the front has literally knocked the whole front end upwards by about 15mm, mainly bending at the bottom of the front door hinge/base of the A-pillars (passenger side mainly) and slightly inwards at the lower rear of the front psngr guard where the wheel is wedged. This in turn pushed up the roofline a teensy bit too causing a little ripple beside the sunoof.
Mischa, it is Atlas Grey. Is there any other colour to have a mk2??
The interior is that cool 1 inch thick red/grey horizontal stripes fabric. everything is clean and intact including rear parcel shelf! I am a clean neat freak when it comes to my car
                  Will put pics up soon.

saw a dark red Mk 2 at City beach thursday nite.. !!!

keep looking man, something will show up..
                    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

                    Cheers,

                      Lancia Delta

I looked at a Lancia delta integrale yesterday. Ooohhh mama! '91 model 16v turbo AWD 290bhp with ABS.
Its a left hooker but i could live with that. 80,000 k's
The guy said he'd take $9000.
                      Who's had experience with these?

wow! what a car! that would be on nice ride fo shure!! working on them is hard, parts will be hard to find i think, and that engine bay is packed tight!! makes it real diff to work on it. Insurance may be a killer tho, being LHD

Dude buy it purely for the fact that its a lancia delta integrale!!!!

Garage it, keep it clean and let it linger forever

If it's a lancia, the wiring will be a nightmare..

Is it an evo? sounds like it should be with that power output. The standard inters had less power than that, also has it got the adjustable rear wing?Mate had one in Scotland they are quick and handle really well, parts are tricky though and are made of tinfoil. If you can get a good parts source go for it.

Of course not... Unless it's Platinum Grey Metallic...

Have you considered that 3dr for sale on E-bay? It's digifant, so the conversion wouldn't be as difficult as on the older 2's like mine, and they are oh so rare... Just gotta ship it from Melbourne...
