you never cease to amaze!!
(..how little you're doing on the mk 1 that is...)

Innovate data logger up the tailpipe would be easiest. A second boss in the downpipe at the same point as the standard lambda probe is ideal.
I would say 23 would be the absolute maximum you should be running. Squeezing the air to get more pressure heats it up, so you don't really get the benefit. Oh and you can bend things too.

I have another boss about a foot below the standard sensor. I did get an innovate ot2 but it won't sink with the car , will follow that up again actually.

What's happening with the Innovate? I had loads of trouble with mine when I first tried messing about with it. Have you just got the AFR meter or an Aux box for the rpm and boost sensing?

It's just an odb11 port connection. I don't have any external meters.
It's basically not recognizing it's connected to an ecu. The wifi connects and so on no vehicle recognition.

If your trying to use the LC1 analogue outputs to provide a simulated narrow-band signal for the ECU then you have to muck around with the samples per second. I'm not sure what the Motronic ECU expects but you might find that dropping the samples down to say 6/sec provideds a more stable value. By default I recall they are something like 20/sec and you see lots of spikes where its reading pockets of gas that are normally not recorded. Many aftermarket ECUs need this done
I was logging a Mk4 with a K03S last week actually but as it had no spare bung in the dump-pipe I just had the probe up its date. I didn't have the OT2 to test though just he LC1 and the laptop but as the Mk4 supports CAN I'm now wondering if the OT2 might be of some use. It would make logging that much easier for the basic stuff anyway
Edit to add. I've found using the earlier firmware on the LC1 produces a cleaner output, I'm not sure why but it does so if anyones having issues then its might be worth a try. Theres also real issues with the heater circuit in these units - its ****house and really swamps the vehicle with massive spikes thats another story thoughLast edited by parso_rex; 23-12-2010, 08:58 PM.

Mine is an LC1, gives out excellent data with the Aux box connected to pick up RPM and Boost. You would get some use out of your Innovate on an S3 with ME7.

Sorted the pipe work , and seems the leak has eased with a bit of heat up cool down. Just took it for a better spin and its hectic. Gotta be up at least 30/35percent , boost is a lot broader and keeps making power much higher in the rev range. Am really looking forward to pairing it with it's tune. Just gotta go easy on it as boost peaked fairly high on full monkey.
Cheers for all the tech/ ecu assistance lads although 3/4's of it way over my head.
Big smiles.

Actually looking back your still running the stock MAF I think , you'll max this out with even a k03s so keep the boost way down round 16 or so or it will be running lean. In it's final guise you'll need 380+ injectors and the S3 sized MAF. you can confirm the fueling and MAF with your LC1 and vagcom.

ive got a 4 bar fpr in and some 315 injectors coming, re the maf i have basically a 3 in to 2 3/4in maf are the actual maf(sender/readers) different(or simply the bore size)?? as the vr6 maf in a 3in housing is the same as the maf i have .
what is LC1???
cheers
