Didn't make much difference to the final exhaust note, but did help the spool up note, noticeable livened up the spool , just waiting on the k04(which I will run on the k03 tune as soon as the highflow manifold arrives) to really wake it up. Will do the rest in the next monthish.

manifold arrived, very tidy, did a little smoothing of the runners (not that it needed it) now to get the snapped studs out of the hotside on the turbo.

I actually did some measuring and mine will fit (tooshai) it's an interesting design on the centre in centre out , as I have only seen offset paths like on my and miks mk1. Bends and v band are on the way to boot.

With the turbo and pipes out decided to reroute the dv return ,was never really happy with it, third times a charm. Also hid the waterpipes through the firewall behind the heatsheild and so on.

went to put on the down pipe and inspected the gasket which i now recall not being to happy with, the id of the flange was cut to 3" ie 76odd mm but the bowl on the turbo(id) is 90mm, the step was super edivent in the exhaust marks on the gasket . i let it slide before but not again, spent an hour with the die grinder and introduced a nice curve and removed the step. the stock down pipes actually have a bowl section joining the flange to the runner.new gasket tomozz to boot.
v band and bends for the exhaust

Just had a wee shake down, first impressions are very good. Boost is peaking at around 23 psi ( which seems high anything to worry about???) amazing the difference a little turbine can make. Actually sounds and feels like spooling now and traction will be an issue, 3 gear is hectic. Unfortunately I have a water leak from somewhere and need to move the cooler piping as its now resting on the manifold.
Need further driving to fully get a feel but the increased boost is significant , it feels better suited now to the big cooler and pipes and so on. Clutch is ruined. Better get to work on the gearbox.
