    Hey Mate,
To get it displayed on your Columbus, you need:
    - JB4 Wireless kit (I did try with usb Y cables and a like, but the phone didnt like it)
    - OBD11 (Pro I guess) https://www.autoinstruct.com.au/prod...nostic-system/
    - Enable Video in motion via OBD11 MirrorLink + Video In Motion on US MIB2 = working (!!!)
    - Plug Android Phone in and Mirrorlink it to dash.
    - Then enjoy your gauges on the screen.

Mirrorlink is only Android, But Im on the hunt for an iphone workaround...

Back at tyre shop as I've got a puncture on the right front.
What's the deal with new cars getting punctures...

Edit, it may have been the tpms sensors, so we have tightened them up

As we have a Track day coming up, Thought I'd be safe than sorry...
So Popped in to Bunnings for a 1kg Fire Extinguisher (Dry Powder $15.80)

Installed with Cable ties in the boot via the cargo net hooks, seems to hold up for a lap around the block.

Hey HPRS230, are there CAMS affiliated clubs in QLD cool with the extinguisher being mounted in the boot like that and with no clasp?
I've had many an argument with motorsport marshals down here in Vic over the years about placement and brackets of compulsory fire extinguisher that wasn't within arms reach of the driver and properly retained with a clasp.
That might become a missile in a decent shunt, not dissing your work, just wouldn’t want you to spend all your time prepping your car for the track and getting KB’ed on the day by a knit picking marshal.

Hey mate, it's just for happy laps, and not required, but as it was cheap I thought I'd put it in, not a bad thing to have in general theses days on the road.

Yea I'll zip tie it up and have a pair of cuts tapped to the bottle.

Yes CAMS would laugh at that install.

I see it as, something is better than nothing.

            Sweet, was gonna say.....

I have no idea what happy laps is but it sounds like something I wish they'd do down here if it means that you don't have to bolt an extinguisher into your car to turn a wheel in anger on a racetrack. I've got a solution to mount one in my old 6R Polo Gti for a motorkhana, haven't checked to see whether it would bolt under the Skoda seat rails yet. Will have to be careful when I check, I think the boss would crack it if she saw me prepping it for a track day.......

I find these figures somewhat average. if you take the 153.5kW @ the wheels as being the stock 169kW at the fly, then converting the 170kW and 177kW at the wheel to the fly gives you 188kW and 196kW respectively. My mk 2 with a Stage 1 bluefin gives me 188kW at the fly.

Do you know what figures the JB4 distributors were quoting for the Mk3 RS?

                    Hey Donweather,

the BMS guys said that Dyno runs arent great as the air inlet temp gets to high.
I was in the High 60's, normal road driving should be around the 40/50 mark.
Which in turn would give a bit more.

"The JB4 is a user adjustable plug and play solution for all MQB based models in the VW Audi Group range. Power Gains: Starting at 45bhp and 60nm with 95 Ron with + 4.50psi boost over stock on the default setting. Up to 100bhp and 90nm with bolt on modifications, higher octane and boost adjustment is possible with the optional BMS Data Cable."

So it's not to far away if it was cooler inlet temps....

Yeah I did wonder why you'd be doing Dyno runs in Brisbane's current heat wave.

I just thought Stage 1s of the Golf GTI Mk 7/Mk 3 vRS were getting better figures than the Mk 2 vRS remaps that's all. I had thought most Stage 1's on the Golf GTI Mk 7/Mk 3 vRS were achieving over 200kW at the fly.

Superchips quoting 275hp (205kW) Stage 1 presumably at the fly, but more importantly significantly larger gains in torque (97Nm). Your JB4 Map 2 would equate to about 265hp at the fly by my calcs.

The power and fuel economy of your vehicle can be enhanced or boosted in about an hour by remapping the settings on the engine control unit (ECU). By overwriting the vehicle ECU default map with a remap, which is programmed to enhance the car's overall performance, you'll experience an immediate improvement in the speed and power of your vehicle.

Its always a heat wave in QLD, as you know.

Yea the JB4 is less than other tunes, as its a piggy back, which is fine. Both have Pros/Cons.

I'm happy as, Inlet temps aren't 60°C with airflow, so it will be more kw/hp

Changed about of settings in JB4 ready for track day, and sent some logs to BMS.

Also received the DTE Pedalbox unit from Germany today.

5min install, installed in the drop box by drivers right knee.
It plugs in between the throttle pedal and the loom (piggy back).

                        Straight to Sport +, wow!!!!
I guess it just changes the curve, Did a log of that for BMS also, and sent.

Track day done, Was nice to see a few familiar faces (from QR in Dec).
And was the first big push with the RS230.

Trying to carry speed sort of worked as you could feel the diff working, but as I had the DTE pedal box on sport +, picking up just a little throttle (which is more like 30% not 10% that I was hoping for) unbalanced the car and under steer was happening.
Next time, Ill be smoother or turn off the Pedal box.

Some good footage coming out from others, and a couple of people came up and asked up was under the bonnet as I and Ferret had Passed them. JB4 my friend....
They were blown away that a wagon had passed them

Also Bought a fellow Members RS220 Wheels (he had them painted Black) so will match perfect.
Will have to order another TPMS set of Sensors.
Plan to make a full size spare fit in the boot.

Ordered a Cheap Go Pro knock off (75$ ebay)

Another Track day planned for next weekend.
