The images one the website show the standard 19 in black pack wheels same as I've got on my car, are they not the wheels that will be supplied? (Which while called black are really a dark grey)

The wheels I believe will be black, not anthracite!

The uk version of the 230 has the same 19 inch wheels from the black pack but they are a gloss black and not the dark grey. You would Assume Australia will be the same but until they land here who knows.

Superskoda have them for sale, they are different. Along with black exhaust tips and badges.

Also, no mention if active suspension.

No active suspension on current shape, I am told will be on new Facelift shape.

Thanks to stu53, Mysticality and others, for clarifying my error in keyless locking/unlocking of the car!

NOW I know how to do it properly !!! I've clearly been doing it incorrectly but it's clear in my head now and I've got it working as expected.

Well, my OBDEleven device turned up today, but it looks like it may be faulty In a few minutes of trying I've not managed to get the app to connect to the dongle. The dongle itself has a red light lit, and a slowly flashing amber light. I've tried with the ignition on and with the engine running.

After restarting Bluetooh, the car, the app and eventually the phone it seems to be working now! I enabled traffic alerts via Unit 5F -> Adaptations. I did a full reset of the media unit (holding down power until it goes off and on again), then pressed the Traffic button. Within maybe 10 seconds the reports started flowing in. I looked at the settings for Radio and it all looks the same (i.e. no obvious way to turn it off).

If your going to compare the two it's RS220 vs RS230 or 162 tsi vs 169 tsi
Makes it sound like it's 230kw vs 162kw

Just notiiced the RS230 is on the website

SKODA Octavia RS 230 - Å*KODA

Starts at 44.6K on road.

That approx 3.5K more than the regular RS but throws in 19 inch black pack, full leather, LSD, few other bits and pieces.
Comfort pack not available... heated seats separate option.

From what I understand is Comfort pack is standard and from UK/NZ specs, the fronts are heated (Standard with Leather), and the option is for Rear seats to be heated.

so its $500 for rear heated seats, but they will never tell you that....

Lunchbox, I agree, my bad, does sound cooler tho RS230 rather than RS169TSI...

I agree RS230 is cooler sounding but it's inconsistent as all the normal engines are named by the kW output, 110TSI, 110TDI etc.

Could you link me to wherever the instructions are for enabling live traffic please mate - as this is one of the primary reasons I wanted the OBD11 in the first place.
Or maybe just post in here the steps required in OBD app - as the app is different to VCDS I don't want to mess things up.

Spinifex this is where I got most of the adaptations I used: Octavia III VCDS Adaptations - tried and tested - Diagnostics & VCDS - BRISKODA There may also be another thread on Briskoda as well.
