Woohoo! Got a call from the dealer, car already built waiting to get on a ship! Was supposed to be this Friday, but looks like it was a week earlier. Got my vin ready to go for when it does get on a ship. Fingers crossed its one that goes straight to Brisbane, rather than via Perth. Might even get it start of December now!

You've only got one child on the way and you are worried you'll need a wagon? Pfft, we have three kids (9, 5, 4) and we all fit OK in our Golf7. Having said that, it should get a little more comfortable once the girls are out out of their booster seat.

We have a luggage box too for the roof and at Christmas time we traveled away with the dog and large esky in the boot and all the rest on the roof. No probs.

So dont think you need to worry about a wagon just yet

You are right, we get 3 kids (10,8 & 6), 2 adults and a cocker spaniel and gear for long weekends away in our Polo, without a luggage box

Ditto. I have 2 RF car seats, so no leg room for driver or front passenger. As we are doing extended RF, kids will be RF until 4 or 5yo. This is why I need a wagon-more leg room! And boot space.

Don't disagree. The banks have got all of my proverbials with housing, investment, business loans and car lease (well not till delivery !)
After the first coupla mil it doesn't look so bad !

There's only south tolerance before I start to think SLO-DA is taking the piss. Dealer advises order placed 11 April will not be built now until week 42. After being offered august delivery, bumped to September delivery, then told week 38 build, it's now week 42 with no satisfactory explanation. I have raised a complaint with SKODA. I await a response next week.

Ordered a VRS wagon on 11 April 2014, 18" black pack and all other options except leather in Steel Grey. I still have no confirmation of build date and only information from dealer is that it has been in "Frozen" status for the last 2 weeks. Does anyone know what this actually means and were their cars in "frozen" status just before build??

I would guess it means the order can't be changed now. That's a long wait, I think you lucked out in the queue, many have got them who ordered after that.

Saw Skoda were peddling the record Aug sales on the FB page, also notice they didn't add their own numbers in. Even NZ delivered 100, wonder how many were sold here. Å KODA Records Further Growth in August - Å KODA
