Also, I have just noticed NZ have the grey inserts on the seat where as we have the red. Any one know if it's an option to swap to grey?

Looks like it will be red or red judging by the brochure but I would prefer grey too... (would be grey stitching instead of red throughout too and I expect that would mean too much complication in parts etc.)

Thanks for the information! The exhausts don't look too bad but I wish they just were complete.. probably just not easy to do etc..

I've been out of the country for a while, but hopefully Colin is still working Lennock's. It was his approach that really got my wife keen on our first Skoda - great service both pre- and post sale.

I'll be going straight back to Colin for my next Octavia some time in 2015 when I get back to Australia - I just have to choose between the RS or Scout.

i don't know if he has an RS yet. he mentioned april when i asked him.

New Octavia ....when? How Much?

I just drove the brand new vRS (silver wagon pictured below).

Quite a nice car! Engine sounds great and it goes well (good induction noise and you can actually hear the turbo). The extra torque of the revised engine/turbo is definitely noticeable over the outgoing model.

Seats are really nice too. Not a huge fan of the new steering wheel (not as nice and feels cheaper) and also the indicator/wiper stalks and DSG gearknob - all feel and look cheaper.

Steering feel is MUCH improved over the outgoing model (and Golf's) with its variable steering rack. Has much better response/feel too so they must have revised the suspension bushes etc with the new chassis.

Turbo is MUCH better placed for access to the dump pipe (uses a vband type connection between the turbo and the dump pipe) and also the intake is shorter and placed better for the aftermarket clan. Engine sounds really good with a nice induction roar and turbo whistle. The turbo itself is a IHI and looks bigger than the k03/k04.

Front brake disks and caliper are definitely larger too. The front disks look to be 330-340mm (about the same size as my Golf R) and the caliper is larger.

Yes they are.

They're Xenon with LED DRL, which are standard yes.

Perhaps they turned the fog lights on? No other image shows them on, and they weren't on when I saw it.

Edit The front wheels are turned so its just cornering lights

I believe they have cornering xenons 30kph and above and corner fogs under 40kph
