lovely piece of accountants justification. I do similar calculations to justify my purchases (or veto of other family members wants). People hate it.

That's normally what I do with most purchases in my life. But when I bought the Skoda (it was always "the Skoda" in our family) I went with my heart instead. My wife was seriously shocked when I just went and bought it, no faffing about, no comparing with other cars, no calculations of costs - I just said that's the car I want, and that's the car I'm getting! Maybe it was the start of a mid-life crisis?!

I'm looking at Octavia Ambition plus with tech pack and auto boot opener, what % wise have people been able to get off RRP

july build if you order now. It's back in the thread somewhere.

Someone got 8.5% off a vRS but the Ambition won't have as much wiggle room.

If you're waiting for others to pull the trigger first you better be patient.

Have new orders now moved beyond week 22 mid May builds yet? I would think so. Would Skoda aggregate orders for a July build so soon after? If so great but I am surprised. Thought they would be more spaced out.
Would a July build be a MY15?

Build week 22 is actually the first week of June, due to factory holidays. Its also the model year change over so yes anything beyond it is MY15.

Its hard to say if people who ordered before now will get built straight on Wk22, but here's to hoping

At the time of that post the RS hadn't even launched yet. There is no manual RS TDI

Sorry here is a photo. Plus a bit of info: this guy bought the car, drove around the Swiss Alps for 400kms and drove at 4.3L/100kms! Mainly highways.

Very similar to the Golf GTI Carbon Steel Grey - one of my fave colours. The pics posted so far of the Octys in the Metal Grey all look quite different though, I'd really like to see it in the flesh (so to speak). That and the Moon White...

Anyone looking at an Octavia RS could do worse than shopping on the Central Coast. Some Sydney dealers didn't want to budge an inch from retail. I've done much better. These guys really wanted my business and I'm happy to give it to them.

Deposit down. Race Blue. Leather. Tech Pack. Auto tailgate. 18" Black Pack. 162TSI manual wagon.

6 months in a $1200 Corolla to fill the gap should help me appreciate it.... The Octavia RS beats a GTI (owned a MkV previously), new WRX (pig to drive in manual, much better in auto but head room too small in premium pack with sunroof), Renault GT220 wagon (availability of a demo poor), Mercedes A250 (poor value in comparison and too sanitized to drive) and also drive a Commodore (mediocrity), Cruze SRi-V (7/10 the car at 6/10 the price but controls all too light), Kia Pro-Cee'd GT, Hyundai Veloster (too small), and even a Hyundai Santa Fe.
