Often measuring boot space in litres can be deceiving. The Golf Wagon was actually a longer vehicle than the Mk2 Octavia Wagon, and had a longer boot from memory. The biggest advantage the Golf had over the Octavia was that it didn't have the lip in the floor once the seats were folded.

Yeah, u need the false floor to eliminate that lip.

Mine doesn't have that. The floor is higher with a full size spare wheel which all the Aussie cars get.

hopefully we get as many color choices when the mk3 vRS gets released here next month.....

I've been pouring over the colour choices in the past couple of days in anticipation, the normal Octavia is available in 9 colours.

The Mk3 RS is also available in 9 colours. With two being a fairly similar red, I think we'll get 8 colours.

Only problem with the false floor.. To get it to aus will cost (wait for it) just about a grand !!!! It comes in 3 parts for some reason.
But I really want a false floor to make the boot flat!

I reckon you could fabricate something for <$250 & about 4 hours solid work & it would look OEM
