There was a guy here at one point with the 1.8tsi that had a K04 turbo etc & it was putting out some fairly big numbers. The EA888 block has a lot more tuning potential than its predecessor.carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic

I had a look inside the new octy last week. Incredibly impressed with the panaromic sunroof. Goes from the rear headrests right almost to the steering wheelwww.TheRapidWrench.Melbourne

Ok just to clarify things. I'm currently on hols up at Mooloolaba and they have someone picking up an ambition sedan today, and had quite a few Octavia's for sale. So it's likely Brennos problem was they didn't have any of the exact specs he wanted so the usual waiting time to get one built. They are all selling but in the interim obviously got in lots of elegance cars with all options. Makes sense really.

I say sell the middle and top of the line models only. Why bother sell the base? Add sports model on top and Skoda should be set. Selling![FONT=Franklin Gothic Medium]Matt

With hardly any cars coming in the dealers the last yr they would have wanted high spec as those show all the features, it's easier to say this model doesn't have something than vice versa. Also the RS followed by the former 1.8 were the biggest sellers so they would want more of those and get the bigger numbers in sales going. They would have to sell 2 base models for every one elegance to get the same figures.
I'm sure they will get some ambitions out soon, but I thought (as did probably others) that there were no cars available at all. I'll tell you what though, the commo and falcon buyers will go for base spec, they are a bigger car now and a bargain at $22990.

Now that Race Blue is available on the normal models its no so special and the colour doesn't suit the new octy as well as the old one imho and black design is almost a must if you want to stand out from a normal octy. Sprint yellow could be cool, but I'd have to see it in person.
Ps. The first vRS in Aus arrives in Brisbane today, wish I could have a look at that!Last edited by readerr0r; 19-12-2013, 07:36 AM.MY16 Octavia RS 162 Race Blue Combi
