New Octavia ....when? How Much?

That was my biggest fear too, having the car delivered with wrong transmission. I would love to know how Skoda Australia reacts! In my case, they were really apathetic and referred me back to the dealer.

Surely the dealer would feel obliged to supply an interim vehicle while they fix up the mistake.

Cheers for that. I see the tech pack now comes with or without rear view camera ($300 addition). Not available to be built until November so unlikely any will arrive in 2014.

I was at Richmond Skoda yesterday (where Audi has moved next door, bigger Skoda showroom?) and didn't see one like you mentioned there so guessing it wasn't them. They said 6mths wait and they seem over the limited stock. They reckoned they were told when orders filled that oz would get bigger allocations but it's not happening. They are wanting floor stock but private sales are taking up all the allocations. We went to get a glimpse of wagon sunroof but they had only a customers car with one that was delivered in the morning.

Also noted all new sales staff, not even the manager is the same. One sales guy didn't seem to know anything and seemed new.
