Yikes. It would be good for you to know the name of them in case someone happens to be selling a used set (to search / keep an eye out on ebay, other forums, etc), and the timing is right so to speak.

OK, so now I have been a little more reasonable with price.
What do we all think of these instead??

Be honest please... I wont be offended... (tough if I am anyway haha)

Good - but the lack of a visible rim is bugging me...(where is the round wheel?)

I'm with Martin as well, do-able but wish there was some kind of machined lip all the way around to define the wheel.

At least I see why they appeal though, machined like face with black highlights, somewhat Detroit-ish.

I'm really not a fan. The Neptunes look so much better. IMHO I think it needs to be a VAG wheel or something similar in design so it doesn't look ricey. That rim belongs on a lancer or commodore. Not an Octavia.

Hope my honesty didn't hurt too much.

                      Hi all,

Thanks for your feedback! I do really appreciate it.
It is amazing too, that one of the main reservations I had, was the "lack of outer rim", just as you have all said...
I do like the machine face / black insert style (yes, similar to the detroits...)

I am getting desperate to make a decision now, and find the choices so limited!

Budget is approx $2500 (including good tyres), so I know that limits it a bit...

                      All suggestions appreciated.

Someone shoot me down if this is a bad suggestion but the price/design of the TSW wheel range would fit into that price bracket or close to it.. its just they seem to get referred to as The Soft Wheel company on the US forums and I don't know how real that is or not.

They do have a few wheels that would fit the Octavia in 18.. with black face/machined lips - the Tremblant and Zolder, both of which are listed at $390 on the company's website.

Hopefully someone else can confirm or deny whether they're any good or not.

if you really want the lots of spokes look with a machined/painted finish, i'd personally go with these for a more OEM style wheel:

I quite like the GTD wheels as well.

If you want to stick to more of the OEM look have you considered the Khartoums? Or too much black?
