      Nahh.
Although I saw an Anthracite RS in Campbelltown tonight. The driver looked Maori. Smiled and waved, and pointed to his mates.
That gave me a warm glow. XD
Pity I was half way through a turn and couldn't wave back.

Here's the boot mat I picked up yesterday, $146 ex GST. Fits well, is still a little bit curled from being rolled up. And hopefully the rubber smell won't last long.

            Whippet shown for aesthetics

The boot mat smell lasted for a year at least for me, took away the formerly nice smell in our car. I would suggest washing it in detergent and then letting it air outside for a day or so. Summer is a perfect time. Otherwise you get that musty wet smell that just the rubber overwhelming the rest of the car.

got the window tint removed today it was a shame because it was very well done and made the car look great and be a more pleasant place to be, sadly the monkeys at the RTA took a dislike to it when they did the ID check for rego

on the bright side I finally got it rego'd in the ACT and took the queensland plates off it

Bad news on the cheap Chinese LED rear tail light assembly unfortunately

Firstly the connector is different. Not a big deal, I just pulled the pins out and swapped them around until I had everything working fine with the assembly sitting in the boot.

When I went to fit the lights though I found that the shape is slightly different (couldn't tell from the pictures) and the four mounting bolts are in a different pattern.

Anyone know if the assembly is different for the liftback as opposed to the combi? If so I have a set of LED taillights that might fit a liftback

PS they actually looked pretty good all lit up.

Yes combi and liftback are indeed different shapes so I assume mounting pins/screws/bolts are also different.

Any idea if they require coding? I assume they're just plug and play.

I was able to get all lights working: tail lights, brake lights, indicators, reverse, so from that perspective it doesn't require any coding.

What I don't know is if any fault codes will be thrown with them installed as I didn't get that far.

Am happy to test install them for someone in Sydney if they are interested, otherwise I can send them (plus the pinouts that I've worked out) if someone wants to try them elsewhere...
