installed a cheapo HID kit, was easy once i thought about it.

installed the MDI kit, turns out the 'fancy' kit and that hutch it came with doesnt fit in the glovebox

also about to do custom firmware install for my RNS510

yesterday, pulled apart the inside of the car to run some speaker wires to the rear doors (Thanks Skoda - NOT!) and installed some speakers in the rear doors.

(Anyone out there with a pov-pack audio system - it can be done!)

Also discovered what appeared to be evidence of a previous attempt at what I did - some ham fisted idiot had pulled off many trim parts at some stage with the idea to put some speakers in back (the factory foam rubber glued on cover over the stock rear speaker hole was broken on the drivers side) and all half the trim clips on the door trim were missing/broken - AND a bunch of clips for the door sill side trims were also broken.... its ok, I fix

for anyone wanting to do the same:

Run the wires from the head unit down through the centre console as far as the gearshift, then split left/right and go under the fron carpets just near the seat, along the door sill to the b pillar, up the back of the b-pillar behind the rear door rubber pinchweld to the height of the factory door wiring boot, through the plastic wiring clip (theres a spot for the wireing to go) through the boot and into the door.

once you know what to pull off, you could do a side in about and hour - but it took me about 3hrs to do the first one and almost that long to do the second one due to having to fix all the broken stuff.
