In Sept, I did on line quotes for my vRS with the following results ($36k value, 43yo male driver, $950 excess, 10,000km/yr average, no at fault accidents >10yrs, full points on licence).
Allianz $630
Just Car $870
GIO $890
NRMA $913
ING $917
AAMI $961
QBE $1113
Shannons $1217
YOUI $1387
I still cannot believe YOUI are double the cheapest quote yet they advertise how they listen to you and sell you the insurance you need. Considering I have a good driving history and low annual kms, they are talking s**t.... The car is also in a locked garage, with a locked back yard with remote gate!!
They actually rang a few weeks after the quote to ask if I was still interested. After telling the operator the rpices, she could not explain why it was so high. It pays to shop around.
EDIT - Allianz were also the cheapest CTP (green slip).2015 MY16 Brilliant Silver Octavia vRS Wagon TDI DSG with Tech Pack, 19" black pack, pano roof and auto tailgate

Haha - I had the same sort of conversation with YOUI after doing an online quote... I have a conspiracy theory that YOUI and Bingle etc are fronts to convince consumers that the big boys' pricing isn't that bad. Both of their quotes were laughably out of the ballpark (or maybe we aren't in their target demographic).
