So does everyone, it's still a big collection of bogans in one place though...especially Friday night in the food court, and all the cool teens that hang outside the front of the doors in the area downstairs from the foodcourt.....I wish I could smoke and not wear a shirt in winter.....

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Spotted heaps of Skodas all over England, but not one FL Octavia. Arrived in Munich today and again Skodas every where. At the Avis desk at the airport I was given the choice of three cars, a Citroen, some new Seat (she said it was like and A4) and a Octavia diesel wagon. The made the decision easier. BUT someone idiot put the steering wheel on the wrong side. Ain't that a challenging experience?

I would have taken the SEAT. I always choose whatever isn't available in Oz.carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic
I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums

the Seat Exeo - nothing new about it - based on the previous A4 which first materialised in 2002. Seat have struggled with some of their vehicles (Toledo, Altea) and the Exeo was seen as a cheap way of introducing a new model.
The problem with it and the previous A4 is that they are just not that spacious. Wagon has 442 litre boot and rear seat space no better (probably worse) than Octavia versus 580 litres in the Octavia. Thats why so many more Octavias are sold. The interior fit and finish in the Exeo is very good!
On the subjects of seats I owned a Leon Cupra in 03 - 04. It was based on a mark iv golf floorplan but handled better, looked better and went better (180 bhp versus 150 bhp in the golf). That was a good car!

Playing support for Ferrari's F1 clientele at the Nurburgring. Along with the Skoda, they brought along four FXXs, 15 F99XXs and 10 F1 cars.

3 skodas today:
about 11:00 AM a black pre FL Octavia (I think a RS) wagon with 2 mountain bikes on the roof on the Nepean Hwy just out of Blairgowrie heading towards Rosebud. My instinct was to wave but I was not in my Skoda so might have confused the driver having a cyclist wave for no apparent reason!
Not sure of the time but I'd guess somewhere between 1:00 and 2:00pm a black pre FL Octavia wagon parked on either the Esplanade in Mt Martha or Marine Drv in Safetly beach-I'm a little vague as I was struggling with a cross wind and not paying alot of attention to where I was.
At a guess, between 2:00 and 3:00pm a metallic green facelift Octavia wagon parked on Vancouver St in Mornington.
Sorry about the vagueness! As I said I was struggling with a cross wind and anxious to get back to my own RS which was parked at Schnapper Point in Mornington.

White pre-FL Octavia wagon parked at the top of my street this morning, white Scout leaving Calwell shops this afternoon.
A friend of mine says he has seen a Skoda wagon being used as NSW Ambulance command vehicle - not sure what model. He will try to get me some photos next time he goes past.MY15 Octavia Scout TDI135 Moon White Tech Pack Panoramic Sunroof Polar wheels

Last Sunday I saw a silver FL RS Wagon and then ten minutes later I saw a white FL Octavia wagon, both on Wynnum Road Morningside.
Today I saw a white RS Wagon, same as mine, turning off the Gateway heading east on Wynnum Road Tingalpa. This one had the roof racks with the cross bar on it. It had its daylight running lights going and it just stood out from the rest of the crowd! I was a few lanes over going in the opposite direction but I gave them a wave. They wouldn't have missed my DRL on as well.Skoda Octavia RS Wagon TSI DSG Candy White MY10
