Skoda spotted thread

Saw a race blue Octy wagon parked in Airey's inlet last sunday.Also a white Octy heading back from Lorne bout lunch time same day.

- Yeti 103TDI (God I want one!!!)

- MY11 Octavia Scout (with the new alloys).

Great showing and the stand was pretty funky in design but I would've liked to have seen the MY11 Octavia 118TSI/103TDI with their new wheels etc.

A week ago I tested a Skoda 103TDI Manual which was a beautiful car.
Since then I did not see another one until I signed the dotted line a week later.
The brand must be very rare since I travel a lot around Brisbane, in Europe they are very popular.

Spotted a yellow pre FL VRS today on my way back from Gosford...

Black Roomster driving on Railway Parade Allawah 2218 about 1pm last Saturday. Honking at me - as I parked my black Roomster.

Third Roomster I have seen on the road in three years.- Counting the one I drive!

I've got to report that there seems to be a bit of a Skoda plague that has broken out around the Brisbane suburb of Bulimba. On the weekend I spotted 5 Skoda's within 24hrs. A
These included;

* A (White?, cant quite remeber) Roomster, in Princess St
* A White Octy vRS wagon (looked quite new) on Oxford St
* A grey Octy Wagon near Addison Ave
* A pre-FL Octy Wagon on Lytton Rd
* My Black Superb Wagon crusing up and down Oxford St most of the weekend trying out the automatic park assist function out the front of Memorial Park...

So much for being the only local who's discovered the secret...

Looks like Concord is fast becoming a Skoda preferred zone! Apart from mine, there is a regular grey Octavia wagon in Central Concord, a blue vRS Sedan (in my street??) and a black vRS wagon I have seen many times in the area. Also last night a grey wagon was coming out of the Aquatic Centre carpark as I was entering. Great stuff!

I've seen the blue RS liftback and black RS wagon a number of times, the blue liftback lives in Cabarita I think. I'll park mine on Majors Bay Rd and hopefully you'll see it haha.

On a serious note, saw four Octavias of varying specs yesterday, including an L-plater in a silver saloon. They are definitely getting more common!

I'll keep an eye out for your Superb as I have only ever seen one out on the road! I'm sure the Park Assist will help you out down there. The White Octy Vrs Wagon may have been mine. I was parked near Woolworths friday morning. I had just given it a wash and polish after all this rain. I have seen the others you mention - there is a grey VRS wagon on Addison Avenue near the dog park and I saw the grey pre-fl Octy yesterday turning from Apollo Road onto Lytton Road.

I haven't seen them much anywhere else yet. I am heading up to Hervey Bay next week so I'll see if any are up thay way.

Yeah it was defs a pre-FL Octavia sorry, on the M4 too. I'll have to meet up with you (while I'm on my L's in my Octavia lol) .

I was parked on Oxford Street this morning just up from Woolworths. I was just about to walk into the shops when my mrs points out a nice black Superb wagon pulling into the underground carpark. I think it had personalised plates. It wouldn't be yours would it? If not there must be two around the area.

Also saw a race blue octavia rs wagon travelling outbound Kingsford Smith Drive Wednesday around 2pm at Hamilton. It had personalised plates. Possibly ending in 72 or 73.

I spoke to the Mrs and she confirmed that she was at Woolies yesterday morning in our Black Superb. We don't have personalised plates though? If there are two black Superb wagons crusing around Bulimba along with all those Octy's I keep on seeing then it would be fair enough to claim that a Skoda plague has indeed broken out in the suburb.
