Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

the car still runs like a hairy goat when its hot so going to try changing the following before Saturdays happy laps...
- spark plugs
- coil packs
- fuel bucket
- g410 sensor
- lpfp pump controller
i'm also going to run the lpfp fuel pump adaptation via vcds. i know you shouldn't really change a lot of things at one go but i'm running out of time to find the cause of the issue so i decided to get stuck in...
Fuel Pump Prerequisites:
Ignition ON
Engine ON
System voltage at least 11.0 V.
[Select]
[01 - Engine]
[Basic Settings - 04]
Group 103
[Go!]
Activate the Basic Setting.
[ON/OFF/Next]
Wait until Field 4 shows "ADP. O.K.".
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]
Switch Ignition OFF.
Note:
Timing chain driven engines such as the CCTA, CBFA and CCTA were phased in during model year 2008. Those engines do not use a G410 (Low) Fuel Pressure Sensor so Basic Settings 103 is not applicable.

Have you logged it hot mate? We see a lot of backing off by the ECUs due to heat, intake temps in particular.
Would be good to log it all the time you are out on track if you can. Then hit the space bar to mark the file when you get a problem.

Cheers mate, haven’t logged it yet as no clue what I’m doing and hard to concentrate on driving and the laptop...
Barry said he’d give me a hand if possible on Saturday so hopefully I’ll get some logs then...
Do you have a cure for the ecu running hot?

a fresh update, I joined the darkside and switched to an APR tune this week. I haven't picked it up yet but if the whp on 98 ron is as per the APR website it will be a nice increase. 295 nags at the wheels to 370 horse. no doubt the advertised numbers will be high but I'm looking forward to what the butt dyno reckons...
the guys noticed that the uprated pendulum mount was toast and gave me a heads up. in a strange way it was nice to know as I thought I'd heard a knocking lately and guess thats probably it...
so now it has some APR on the car I didn't think it would hurt to go with one of their solid pendulum mounts. Surprisingly Ecotune had one in stock...

Swapped out the pendulum mount at the weekend. Hard to tell but the rubber bush on the centre bolt shouldn’t look like that...
Hopefully the new apr one will do a better job...

thanks mate, not had chance to "test" the apr tune yet. I've got a track afternoon booked in a couple of weeks at willowbank so will report back then...
I had a racingline stage 1 loaded on the the mrs a5 3.0 tdi and was pleased with the results. I was surprised how quick your tt is straight out of the box so no doubt you'll be happy with the bit extra from stage 1, do you know what power is quoted?
catch up at happy laps mate, will be keen to see how your car goes on the track...

According to the Racingline site - stock 160-170kw, 350NM - with stage 1 234kw/450NM. At the wheel I'm expecting maybe around 190-200kw. I've got a Racingline cold air intake (R600) and a couple of other bits being added at the same time.BMW Z4 (2019)
Audi TT quattro (2015), s-line in Nano Grey - sold

I tracked the car at Willowbank after the APR tune, loved it and a massive improvement...
the new Nankang AR1 probably helped also...
it was on the clubman circuit and my best time was 105; certainly not great but there would be more in it with driver improvements and tyre pressure changes...

I found time on Friday to replace some service items as I'm trying to dial out some slight rough running issues. I changed the fuel pressure sensor, fuel filter, both oxygen sensors, cleaned the maf and replaced engine oil and filter. the oxygen sensor on the downpipe was loose so I'm thinking that wasn't helping things...
I had lots of fun Saturday on a small kart track, the S3 felt strong but still not 100%. room for a bit more oversteer and the motor back fired and stuttered on a couple of occasions. it still held its only with some relatively track orientated cars though...
I headed out for happy laps early Sunday morning and got half way there when the engine went in to limp mode; I traced this back to a fouled plug. looks like the shop didn't gap my BKR8EIX to 0.55mm which probably explains the rough running. I changed to some 7's that I had as spares and went for a quick spin. the car felt stronger than it did on Saturday; I'll definitely be carrying a spare set of plugs and plug spanner in the car from now on. looking back I don't know why I didn't change them on Friday when I serviced the other parts, gutted I missed hl...
