I'm looking to become a new convert to the VW faith... previously had a MY02 WRX and currently have a MY05 Liberty GT, but a bit disappointed with Subaru's latest offerings, so am now looking to buy a Golf R (drove one two days ago and they're very nice) to keep up my AWD performance hit.
Hi,
My name is Craig and I have just recently converted to a red Polo GTI from a R33 GTS - T .
Although the Polo doesnt have the HP I still prefer it over the Skyline. As its just nicer to drive.
Canberra based, first car was a golf that was dangerously unroadworthy and stank of petrol but I had more fun in that car than should be legal, oh and that was in South Africa before I immigrated to the lucky country
Now in a 2007 R32, love it to bits easily the best car I've owned (which includes a 2009 Audi A5). That being said I'm test driving the new Golf R next Wednesday and will decide what to do then (lease on the R32 ends late July)
New to this forum, interested in tyres for my Tiguan (103tdi). Have done 55,000k's and original Pirelli P6's looking a bit shabby! Anyone tried Falken ZE 912's?
First VW was 54 beetle, few others since then but nothing compares to the Tig!
Just wanted to say I love my new 118. Was going to buy the MkVI GTI but wife cant drive it as she is on her p's. So I bought a 118 and am seriously surprised at the punch that the 1.4 pushes out... awesome little car!
G'day all, an intro from a newbie VW owner…
Received a manual 103TDi Tiguan at the beginning of the year, thanks to my ‘Leader of the Opposition’. Arrived home after a long a time away with work, and there was a ‘Baby Massey-Ferguson’ in the family…
Pleasantly taken in by the tidy and refined package. Nice balanced combo of small-to-mid-size, Turbo Diesel power/economy, and daily 2 adult + 2.3 kids functionality.
Of similar products available, Tig appears to possess best quality and relative value for features on offer, and am happily becoming a convert.
But alas, I am the owner in spirit. I rarely get a look-in, as it is claimed by her and ‘billy lids’. Rare times when I get to run kids around to various activities become a little more enticing.
As for my tendency to stall at safety critical times; i.e. the middle of busy intersections, I may just have to pry it out of her hands more to adapt to the little tractor’s quirks, or simply remember each time to give the 'fun meter' a tweak and sink the 'power lever' when moving off. It really does take some getting used to, especially when it is a while between drives.
I’m seeing lots of good-gen, and a fun/supportive 'community feel' on the website, and appreciate the efforts of folk responsible for making it that way. Thanks to all involved, and keep up the great work.
Kind regards,
HF3.
My name is Michele, I was introduced to VW golf love around two years ago and have never looked back. I learnt to drive manual in a friends mark 3 golf and then upgraded to attempting to drive my friends R32 (funnnnn).
Anyway, keen to learn.
Bai for now
Hey there golfy boy, flying through the sky so fancy freee
