Hey All,

I'm Jason from Western Sydney.

I just put a deposit down on a MY10 Manual GTI in Candy White, I was extremly lucky to find one I wanted in stock to take advantage of the EOFYS. I put the deposit down yesterday and the estimated delivery date is 16 June 2010.

Just a shout out to all on the forum, this site has been incredibly helpful when I was trying to decide what I wanted to buy. Plenty of good information and well organised. When I finally took the leap to test drive one I certainly wasn't disappointed.

Hopefully I might be able to join you Sydney folk sometime when you get together?

Was quite amazed at the different attitudes from various VW dealers around Sydney, way too many "I'll call you backs" that never eventuated. Having to beg for service when you are buying is not a good sign...

Darwin trip

We bought a Golf 2.0 TDI in January and towed an A'Van A'Liner to Darwin via Adelaide with it.
It averaged 7.1 L/100km (40 mpg) with the van over 11,900km.
We have had some problems with the van's electric brakes coming on for about 10 seconds when we start the car.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix that?

You can post it in Golf section. Is the A'Van under warranty? If yes, take it to the A'Van dealer to look at. I don't think that there is a problem with your Golf.

I towed the A'liner with another car and there was no problem.
My auto electrician says the fault is in the Golf.

Hello everyone,
recently purchased our first VW GTI mk6.
CW, leather, dynaudio, street legal tint, front/rear sensors.
Although we missed out on park assist, sunroof because we chose to take advantage
of end of financial year savings, we have the car now, gotta love that!

I'm Andrew and live in Melbourne Australia. As of a week ago I now drive a Golf Comfortline silver 2.0 TDI 6 Spd Manwell with sunroof, cloth sportskit, MDI, tint, parking sensors (f&r), etc. And LOVING it. This is my 2nd Golf - had a 2005 Mk V Sportline 2.0 TDI Black with roof, leather, tint etc from new and sold it 3 years ago - now I'm back Am looking to performance chip it pretty quickly - otherwise I'm unlikely to do it later. Any tips anyone?
