Hi all. New to this forum. Have a 2006 Golf with us for the last year and a bit. Considering to change to the Golf GTI in the near future when the wallet can afford it.

Hi,
Yep after a Mkv, got to pay for the wedding first thats why I have to wait. Personally I like th V over the VI (mainly the tail lights and front end) in saying that a new VI would be nice.

Info on VW extended warranty

Hi All,
Just recently joined the VW club by purchasing a 125TDI Passat sedan (Icelandic grey, sat-nav, MDI). Car should be arriving in 2-3 weeks. I've been reading this forum for information for the last 2-3 months whilst making my decision on this purchase. As such, i have also learned of a few reliability niggles with some Passats in the past (hopefully VW has once again reclaimed its position as a manufacturer of bullet-proof quality). Thus, this led me to ponder whether is it worthwhile taking out the expensive 36months/60,000km extended warranty. Any information and past experiences would be most appreciated.
