I was going very slow on the straight bits because I don't want to get black flagged. I had been pulled in for noise last weekend for it (same with the Porche Cup Car & LS RX7). And only hammering it a bit in corners. You also cant really say thats a big wing either. Stock wing is only a little smaller.

Man thats ridiculous, black flag for noise on a TRACK DAY? I heard your car once at QR and yes its loud but is not like you have to wear ear plugs, plus I personally think Honda's sound great

Oh and one other thing: My laptimer didn't work and neither did my video for the first half, but I'm uploading what I've got. Based on video timing, my fastest laps were about 1:10. I'm in the process of uploading...

And what about this black flag business? You can get pulled off the track for having too many decibels come out your tailpipe?!

Yes you can, black flag is when either something is wrong with the car or with your driving (ie. dangerous moves). And recently Lakeside have been very pushy with their db readings, people have been complaining in the area about noise so 95db is the max u can go there now.

Yup, only looked at your left rear. How are the dunlops? predictable? did they ever come off? grippy? how much a corner?

Very grippy, I was throwing the Abarth into every single turns and got no problem with it. I pay $1400 for 4 x new and 2 x used. The front pairs are the used pair as I do not need too much grip at the back, I will just run the Dunlop at the front for now or unit the coliover and BBK are on.

How did the intercooler perform?

Really good thanks Clay. Took it a little easy with Nat in the car this time so when ever I hit 6000rpm I would change up so probably not generating as much heat as usual from the little spud. But that's not to say it hasn't been great this summer so far even on those 40 degree days a week or so ago. I'm not noticing the power loss at all like I did with the Forge. Which doesn't really make sense after the Polo dyno day results but I'll take it

You too mate. Yeah, they're a good road car but their shortcomings are pretty obvious on the track - past about 8/10ths they get pretty scrappy (lots of body roll, TC light always on, etc). They make peak torque absolutely everywhere which is handy, but the POS was spinning an inside wheel in 4th around the final corner from about half throttle Needs more Quaife & intercooler.

My GoPro footage corrupted which I'm not too devastated about; thanks to my chronic insomnia I'd been up since 1am so my driving was pretty ordinary, so I've probably saved myself some embarrassment.

Nice footage, your car looks like the tyres are actually eating the tarmac, it's got that much grip.

Cool to see you got some footage of my car, I think I still need to find the right line in the first corner and at the top hairpin. I must admit I think that was where I was lazy and kept it in 3rd for most of the lap haha.

I also had the climate control on for the second half of the laps, it got way too hot in the cabin. Although it was good to see my car gets out of the chicane pretty quickly now unlike the old non-turbo car.

Here is part 2/2 of my onboard, I cut it short a bit at the end because of it being a cool down lap.

Tirerack told me the only brands they can export are Sumitomo, Kumho, Dunlop and Goodyear.

I think it's getting to be hit and miss with Tirerack. You could try Performance alloys in the UK.
