it may be slower than turbo cars on the straight, but that LOUD and black DC5R did 1:01 something on Lakeside last Sunday's timeattack general practice!

an APR tuned Mk6 GTI with Federal fz-201 semis rubber did 1:03.56 just for reference

Is that with the same driver? It certainly appeared to have good front end grip (well more than me on clapped out Kumho's) going through the right hander onto the straight. I didn't feel to lose much pace through that corner with other cars, though the integra certainly gripped up and got out better.

I think a functional front splitter is way forward for us Sean, like the Integra's. BTW the new antilift bushes and braces worked an absolute treat

Really?? Unless Im delusional I had a look at your tyres and Im pretty sure they were Achilles 123's??? I bought a set of federal 595 RS-R they were great the first 6 laps, but then lost grip and started to come off, not really happy with them :S I'm considering replacing them for something better, any suggestions??

I am sure you only looked at my Rear not the Front. I am running 205/40/17 Achilles 123 at the Rear & 215/45/17 Dunlop 03G at the Front

I was going very slow on the straight bits because I don't want to get black flagged. I had been pulled in for noise last weekend for it (same with the Porche Cup Car & LS RX7). And only hammering it a bit in corners. You also cant really say thats a big wing either. Stock wing is only a little smaller.

1:01.50 in my DC5R with A050 (I/H/E + Tune, Coilover, F+R Sway, Mini Brake Upgrage [Rotor,Pads,Lines,Fluid], Splitter & Wing)
It's a very simple track setup ... yet still more can be improved. I have aims for 1:00.xx next track day at Lakeside.

Yes that is me! I still think I was crappy in corners, I was pushing a little too hard for the street tyres because I run semi's there on track days.

You have a hell of a lot more self restraint than I'd have in a car that can lap that quickly. If I had to circulate 12-15sec a lap slower, I probably wouldn't bother, or I'd bring an excel

Try Continental DWs, awesome, stick like semis after a few laps and dont wear out as much, good for a daily driver. Try TireRack. Brought mine for 150bucks each.

Tirerack told me the only brands they can export are Sumitomo, Kumho, Dunlop and Goodyear.

he's using dunlop 03G at the front and Achilies at the rear for less understeers lol

That solves the mistery, I did only look at ONE of the rears LOL

Oh and one other thing: My laptimer didn't work and neither did my video for the first half, but I'm uploading what I've got. Based on video timing, my fastest laps were about 1:10. I'm in the process of uploading...

Yup, only looked at your left rear. How are the dunlops? predictable? did they ever come off? grippy? how much a corner?
