Just wanting to let everyone know that I enjoyed the day.
Was great to get the kids out in the fresh air and look at some great modified and restored cars.
Lmao...Also a big thanks to James..waterboy I had to explain to my 4 year old son why there was a blow up girl friend in your car..lol....
I said that's his girlfreind...shes great...nice and quite and never complains....everything a guy wants.
I attended the show to show my support for My mate Troy who drives the black polo gti vwthunder...was amazed to hear that his car didn't take home any trophy.
Its a great example of a modified vw polo gti and I fully understand how much effort he put into it and all the modifications its had done to it also as most of the time we work on it together.
I don't know how they judge each car but it Seems like the judges/club need to re organize the way they judge the cars as from what I'm told and have read it could be done better perhaps? how can someone judge a car if they fully don't understand what modifications have been done to it and maybe they could introduce other category's that these kind of cars fit into better ? Modified polo class maybe?
Fingers crossed that with more mods it will impress the judges next year and take home a trophy.
The vw Club always puts on a great show and if the plans for next years go ahead in letting Audi and Porsche attend it will be bigger and better I'm sure.
Yeah that was mine.....nothing real special about it so I didn't bother

Dude your car sounded wicked when you pulled up alongside, you definitely should have brought it in, there were heaps of boring looking Audi's you would have shown up!
Cheers for the props on the 'rocketing' I was enjoying

This same issue comes around every year and it is because very few of the watercooled enthusiasts take an interest in the running of the show. If we want to have more influence we need to join the club and take part in the organisation and running of the event.
