His Mk4 has ko4 hybrid special, cams, GIAC and exhuast. Im pretty sure he is still sorting out a few issues and will be making some big power soon.Originally posted by Njay View Postdoes anyone know what "chris" vw mkV Gti had done to his car?

Why is it that all the GIAC cars seem to keep getting highest numbers at dyno days?Originally posted by Water Boy View PostHis Mk4 has ko4 hybrid special, cams, GIAC and exhuast. Im pretty sure he is still sorting out a few issues and will be making some big power soon.

I was trying to indicate the difference in characteristics between the tunes that Scotty & I were running (which come from the same company - Viezu / ChippedUK) beyond just max power output. I wasn't trying to be patronising

BTW Scotty normally runs the same map that I dyno'd (max road power)- he ran the track/race map so that we could do some head to head comparison and in his words
Originally posted by Buller_Scott View Postfor daily driving duties, i always run the "fast road" map because seat of the pants tells me that it's much more giving down low than the "race" map is. i had a suspicion that the fast road was torquier down low, comparing my dyno graph to Greg's confirmed this, and our rolling drag race... our cars pretty much did what our graphs looked like!
Doesn't Hyper1 run a DNA Tuning map (plus a $hitload of other mods)?Originally posted by DeanCorp View PostWhy is it that all the GIAC cars seem to keep getting highest numbers at dyno days?Last edited by kaanage; 10-04-2011, 10:02 PM.Resident grumpy old fart

That was Stage 3.... and John @ DNA Tuning was disappointed with the result - were expecting higher.Originally posted by kaanage View PostDoesn't Hyper1 run a DNA Tuning map (plus a $hitload of other mods)?Genuine VW Parts Importer | Navigation | Bluetooth |sigpicRepairs | Lighting | Coding | Programming |Cameras

Not too many mods. K04's, fuelling, intake, exhaust and intercooler. Only tapering down to 21psi so not that modded. If a modded turbo r35 pulled 320, then a modded s4 doing 240 ain't bad!VWWC Members - 2018 Special - ECU & DSG Remaps

with the polo's, what was done to both of them? Not bad numbers!

the 6r, 112kw is about the same as a stocked 1.8t engine from the previous models and mk4 gti's .. Curious to that thing tuned if it'll get up there anymore! What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

a big reason is that once GIAC make a file they are always willing to make alterations to perfect it based on logs of individual peoples experiences with the file.Originally posted by TRGTI View Postit puzzles me as to why no other tuner can come close to Deans GIAC Extreme tune
when some other companies cant even get this with their stage 3 cars.

and its thanks to DeanCorp and Lucas from Eurospeed that the GIAC Extreme file is where it is. they logged Deans car constantly and kept tweaking until they were happy with the balance of low end torque and top end power.Originally posted by PeDiES View Posta big reason is that once GIAC make a file they are always willing to make alterations to perfect it based on logs of individual peoples experiences with the file.

someting that other tuners won't or can't do for their customers.
