I thought John mentioned a rolling drag to take traction out of the factors - what would be the starting speed? 60km/h or would your GTi still spin it's wheels, launching at this?

He is being pretty insistent about the dyno under reading the torsen diff AWD cars - you need to got back through the thread.

It'll be great viewing but I think there would need to be a trailling car (to ensure they are perfectly even speed and position at the start) that radios someone with a flag or starting light when to signal plus cameras at the finish.

I would think Tim has read the following

Sadly, this is turning into a GIAC brag thread so I understand why some others may be getting a bit miffed

Not trying to get narky. No need to escalate this into something that its not. Im not trying to make a personal attack.

I read all the posts. We covered on page 1 that the figures some awd cars pull are not indicative of their actual power at the flywheel or their acceleration on the road. Its obviously very difficult to compare apples with oranges.

We are still trying to compare them on page 3 when its not really possible to do so with any accuracy.
As already mentioned. If you want to see which car is quicker on the road.. Its time to head out to the drags.

The bit that got up my nose was the deans car not being able to pull a low 12 like some other cars that were there. Just read to me as though "yeah its quick but not that quick". Which is true yes. But we dont need multiple assurances that Deans car wasnt the fastest there unless someone is trying to claim that title.

Maybe it was late and I was tired. I do get annoyed pretty easily at the best of times.

Not sure mate, a guy I know wants to go and run his SS so we are pretty much going to be watching the weather radar, will holler if/when I know mate.

Of course he has read them all, I am APR but good on the GIAC tunes figures. We are all here for the same thing, we love fiddling with cars regardless of what we sell and what we run.

I didn't see him trying to claim who is the man due to their quicker car he just seemed puzzled with the data obtained bro. All good, we know you can get annoyed easily bro Lolz all good mate.
