I was giggling the whole way on Tawonga! So should have gone on that cruise to meet the gang.

Are we still thinking about doing this event?

Im maybe heading to Byron for NYE so I could meet up with the Sydney boys to venture to Thredbo...

Still on the cards but I im not sure if it will happen on the above schedule. Ive been really busy recently so this has been on the back burner a little bit.

Can we have a show of hands of people who are still interested and willing to put up a deposit for accommodation? I think as with the previous event we will need maybe 10 people to make it interesting?

if we get the interest then sure lets go for it.

That piece of road is amazing!! I have been over it a number of times and managed to get it down to about 8 minutes in my 04 barina SRi on semi slicks when i was living in Wodonga. I have never done it in my Polo GTI though...

If you run this trip next year, I am definitely up for it. I'll be living in Canberra by then, so I should be able to make it.

By the way Tim, I have been on most of the roads on which you have planned.... They are amazing... The run from Jindabyne up to Mt Selwyn, then down to the other side is what pants accidents are made of... I will warn you now that fuel is kinda scarce around there, and the roads can get very narrow... The view is awesome though!!

I think we addressed the fuel issue earlier in the thread. We might not get to be too picky on brand no. But any of the major brands premium fuels will be fine for 1 tank.

Just bring a couple of bottles of octane booster. That will fix any issues. The N/A cars may need it for the altitude.

There is BP ultimate in Jindabyne according to the BP website. So if tanks are topped up before we do the 300km loop most people should be able to make it shouldnt they?

I'd be pushing it in the Polo on those roads. I'd take a 10L Jerry of fuel...
