Group Buy / EOI new generation DNS head units (RNS-510 alternative)
I'm interested in purchasing a DNS-810 also, for an '09 Golf Mk6, to replace an RCD510. Guess I will also need a Satnav Antenna as my RCD510 doesn't have satnav. I have a few questions to confirm: 1) that the DNS integrates (out of the box) with the steering wheel controls and instrument controls (white display), 2) that my RSAP bluetooth module under the driver's seat will now be obsolete (my model of bluetooth unit doesn't work with iphones anyhow as they use the RSAP protocol), and 3) that the current connectors to the existing RCD510 will connect directly to the DNS-810 unit, or that there are adapters readily available.
with interest I read to your ANS/DNS post.
I bought already one ANS-810 and I'm interested to buy two DNS-810's.
Can you provide/advice me contact person? Last time I was dealing with lsqbusiness but they don't know anything about the new DNS-series.
If you could provide me a decent price, I'll help your group buy with +2 devices.
Basically I wanted both eqipped wit rear camera, HD DVB-T and latest Europe GPS data.
Car: VW T5
TNX for your support.
Thanks Scratchedeos for the link. I still don't understand the relevance of OBD-II to the Stereo unit though. Is the car's diagnostic warning information displayed on the stereo's screen (via the add on module)? I'm not seeing the benefit of the add-on OBD-II module to the Stereo unit.
Thats kind a cool. I guess theoretically you could use this device to select ecu maps? DCC type settings? Can someone point me to a decent overview of the actual maps in motion. I just dont like cartoony style 3d maps (like Subarus GPS). Its the one thing ive always liked about the RNS-510 is the classy look of the maps. Sorry not trying to bag the unit.
