Well, this unit has ticked me off, was driving to pickup some winter tires for my sister, using GPS & SD playback as the FM SUCKS the SD playback just stopped working, so I powered off the with the power push Burton, turned it back on, all loaded up then there was this nice error box up on the screen, ill.attach the error as it's not in English. After that the system has become extremely slow, the volume up & down is delayed by seconds after turning the knob, in GPS the volume stopped adjusting period.

Went to FM tuner, same issue, slow volume adjusting & tuning

I have not seen that error but the extreme slow down to a crawl with delayed button press I have. I had to reset factory defaults and it was back to normal. Sucks but it gets you back up

Did that, and yep. Back up and going. However its not nice having that happen when your in the middle of no where and things just stop working period with a error box on the screen in a foreign language lol

I've had a similar dialog come up on my ANS-610 twice in almost 2 years. It's easy to become alarmed when seeing a Chinese text alert, but it should be remembered that it is Windows CE after all. Maybe we are more ready to accept a blue screen of death.

Yes but these are pre-production units and this is what pre-production is all about.

There is still massive potential in the product and plenty of hope for an excellent platform - just next year, not now.

It's not that. It is that Sandy clearly indicated that he was going to be away until December 4. It's just a few days to that date, and no amount of complaining now is going to do any good.

No one is denying that there are issues, just that continuing to vent when it is clear that Sandy is not available to respond is not going to achieve anything.

Just wait until then and if there is no response, then go for it. Until then it is just not going to achieve anything.

You need to keep Sandy on side. Just as with any consumer product, it is the manufacturer that issues a warranty and not the retailer.

Just fitted mine and have been playing around with it and the only thing i'm pissed with is my air vents have fallen apart.

I will add that I pulled out of the Group Buy in September as I needed the funds for something that came up and the radio was not on its way.

Sandy gave me a refund no problems (I had paid in full) and offer to look after me down the track.

I have been following the thread and can understand the frustration of you guys (could have been me) but be patient and wait for Sandy to get back. It is not like he ran away, this was know for a while he would be gone now.

As other have said if he returns and there us no satisfactory resolution go nuts.

I think the faults spreddie is an awesome idea as once he returns I am sure he will be straight onto AS with the faults these things have at this stage.

Hopefully this time next week you will all have the answers you all want

Hmmm makes sense.

Whether AS decides to warranty the product or not is up to them. I mean, what power does the buyers really have? A class action of 14 consumers suing a Chinese co. who doesn't really care about their reputation anyways?

It's all up to Sandy to negotiate between parties. December 4 is going to be a very interesting day.

For those that got their units already. How did u get the GPS software. I thought it all came in the box. Or am I wrong in assuming this. Did I miss something?
