Mine unit caught the lag bug tonight.
As long as I can listen to the radio (when it lets me select a channel) I will be happy until they come up with what ever to fix it.

So, finally got mine installed today and went for a couple short drives. used the nav once, which caught on very quickly, even though i mounted the GPS antenna under the mk5 trim on the dash, and all went well, the GF played with the settings as i drove, so ended up with it just the way i wanted, and im happy with it, the rest of the unit, so far, only used FM radio + cd, and made 2 calls with the BT, and all went well, no issues at all, had it parked front to the sun during sunset, so the dash got pretty warm, and no issues with that either, for me, all seems to be going great

Hope i don't get the lag bug, as i like how responsive it is!!

Hope it stays that way for you polski.

I've noticed when playing music via SD that it takes a very long time to skip forward within a track. Do any of you experience that? My MP3 files are around 150mb...haven't tested with smaller ones. However didn't expect this to be an issue given the unit's specs and they work fine with any old smartphone.

Haha. Funny about that. Driving to work this morning I notices it was very laggy. Did I a restore to default. And everything seems to be working fine again.
150mb for an mp3? Why so big.

Think about it..need to skip forward, large file size.. is probably a podcast or gapless mp3 for a full album.

Yeap gapless MP3...A State of Trance radio episodes Actually more like 220mb...No issues skipping back over the portion already played but takes ages to go forward!

Noticed the same with ASOT/ms54/garethemery, software needs to be optimised for the hardware id say. May be card speed related too?

Btw, you should be grabbing the 275mb, 320kbps soundboard/sbd copies of ASOT

Made it home and opened my DNS810 package. First impressions are not bad.

- Unit has a scuff on the right knob (not too happy since unit was >$700)
- Inside the box I had another smaller box with cables (GPS antenna, A/V cables. radio antenna connector)
- Manual appeared to be decent and was in English

I should have time to install the unit this weekend. My warranty sticker has also been cut. Oh well...

I have a couple of pictures, but do not know how to post them here. If someone wants to host them, I can email them. Eager to see the response from Sandy this week.

That what it looked like. It was two bags of connectors. It looked like a fakra connector. Got to get these pics on here somehow.

Ok... Sorry guys. Went back and re-opened everything and realized that it was not a Fakra connector. This is what is in the 2 bags:

- Looks like a video connector (yellow connector with 3 flying leads)
- GPS Antenna
- Another connector with Video out 1 and 2 / Front out / Rear Out /Sub Out etc
- Another connector that looks like an IPOD connector on one end

That's it. Sorry for the confusion, just got home and wasn't paying attention. Cheers...
