Spare wheel access and wet well
Pulling out the spare wheel in my 2019 R-Line is painful. The two small hydraulic struts located both sides of the third-row seat are there to pivot the seat forward when the two latches are released via pulling the nylon straps. The struts don’t work on mine. I have to manually lift the seat then...

It looked easy on You Tube....Amarok bonnet struts
Bought a set of gas lift bonnet struts for ~$75 online. But that included brackets.
Only thing you don't get in the kit that you would want are replacement bolts. Hammer bolts don't look too flash after you've removed them. Especially when the vehicle was spray painted after they were fitted....Last edited by Newkidontheblok; 25-09-2022, 08:38 PM.

Difference between T32 and T26 T28 T30 suspension only
After now nearly 10 plus years of hard work its time to replace the Bilstein Coil Overs in our van . Now as we wont be keeping this one for too many more years I can,t justify spending another $2 k plus for the Bilsteins again . I did ask Bilstein here in Aus about having the front struts repaired /...Last edited by Sunny43.5; 27-03-2022, 09:37 PM.

Amarok tail gate lifter. EZ up or torsion spring?
Had the Amarok home delivered with gas 'slow down' struts fitted. $100. kaching!
Didn't realize that the torsion bar is an optional extra. Used to be standard last time I bought a vehicle with a tailgate.
Anywaaaaaay, faced with the dilemma now. Get the tailgate torsion bar spring fitted...

Mk7 Front Struts - 50mm or 55mm
I’ve done some searching without definitive success.
Have a Mk7 2016 1.4T 110TSI and am looking at options for coilovers.
I note that there are both 50mm and 55mm struts in the Mk7.
Can anyone please confirm with some certainty what size struts would be...

I took action and ordered some Bilstein B4 rear...

Difference between Polo GTI and non-GTI shocks / struts
Hi,
I have a set of Koni FSD struts and shocks that suit a Polo 4 9N from 11.2001 to 06.2009 (Koni part number 2100-4041).
According to Koni , it excludes the 'Fun', Cross Polo & GTI.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the difference is between the standard...

Tiguan Front Struts 55mm?
Hey all, the guys at demon-tweeks have asked if my tiguan has 55mm front struts to make sure I get the right coilovers. Anyone know if the pre-facelift 147tsi has 55mm front struts? I've search google but can't find anything definitive.

Bora 4motion suspension
Ok I know this has been asked alot but most of it seems quite old.
I got a quote today for a suspension refresh which came close to $2k
now bear in mind this included top strut mounts, ball joints, control arms and swaybar links for the front end. This part seemed reasonable....

T1 2.5 TDi rear hatch strut replace / part numbers
Hi all,
Apologies if this has been done to death, but clearly my forum Seach skills must be letting me down.
I need to replace both the gas Spring struts for the rear hatch and the glass lift struts on my R5 TDi.
Plenty of parts available on eBay...

2009 Passat Boot struts
I've got a 2009 Passat sedan and the boot no longer flips open, it will open when you click the remote, but won't raise. I'm guessing the struts need replacing? Is this a tricky job? And I'm guessing the struts ain't cheap?
