My headlight wiring insulation is failing. It 's affecting the wiring in the actual headlight itself. Apparently this is a thing. WTF?

Noticed it after a bulb blew. Off course it comes just after I spent a few hours polishing the discolored lenses.....and ordering new bulbs...

My 4Motion Diesel Caravelle has 2 oil leaks which I have been quoted to resolve.

One is to replace the turbo return gasket
The other is a to replace the fuel pump gasket.

I realise that both these are in relatively awkward positions but the 19 hours labour...
