Partner closed the boot hard yesterday and there was a sound like something breaking. The boot has to be held open now - spring/s and or gas strut/s must be broken or detached. I'm assuming I'll have to remove the boot side panel trim on both sides to access the mechanism? Has anyone got any tips...

The A/C in my Mk 7.5 Golf R failed 3 weeks ago. The fault codes said no gas.

There was no gas in the A/C, they recharged...

So the gas strut under the bonnet has packed it in. Before replacing with OEM (not too expensive, about $55usd) is there a better aftermarket replacement that can be sourced locally? Anyone else replaced theirs?

Upon checking the level of oil on the dipstick I noticed a strong smell of gas. I'm guessing this is not normal because my previous cars never had a gas smell on the oil.. Should I be worried?

Hi, I've got a problem with our 07 Passat. The gas discharge headlight on the left side won't go onto hi beam. The right goes onto hi beam for a few seconds and then goes back to low beam. I assume the shutter on the left isn't working. Has anyone been through this?
