We have a 2006 1.9 TDI 9N3. Just recently I notice the heater is not turning off using the left hand control in the middle of the dashboard.

I am concerned the heater tap has failed.

The Haynes Manual doesn't specifically deal with this issue.

I had a pass on my Dashboard and when I turned a corner, it slide just past the centre towards the steering wheel and slide down the Windscreen

WTF !!! Why isn't the gap between the Dashboard and Windscreen sealed

Did a stupid thing and used blu-tac on my dash. Had vinyl repairers do their best and result might be fine for someone less uptight than me. Had dash replaced and hoping to take some of the sting out of it. Let me know if any information is needed.
