Jimbo the Kombi Camper
We have had our Kombi camper since 2007. It got restored in 2008 and on the road in January 2009. We love driving it and camping in it. It is a 1979 bay window Kombi camper with a 2 litre engine and twin carburetors.

R36 Wagon P0004 and P0005
Hi all, currently getting the above codes as well as a high idle, from what I've been able to google it seems to be the fuel shut off valve. Does anyone have a any information on where it is located in the engine bay and where I can purchase a new one? Thanks in advance.

Groaning from engine bay
An odd groaning sound is coming from the engine bay. I honestly can't tell where it's coming from. I've never heard it before but unsure when it started. Today, it's was quite loud. Just loud enough to hear from the cabin when idling. Let me know what you think...

Oil/ fluid smell from engine bay
Just recently noticed strong smell of hot oil/transmission fluid from the engine bay after a run. Cannot see any evidence of leak of any kind anywhere. 2020 comfort line, 3000 K's. Any advice before I ring VW? Cheers

Engine Bay maintenance/clean
Hi All, just wondering what other people are doing to clean/maintain their engine bay appearance. I generally just wipe the dust with an old rag/cloth and dispose it after use. Are there any tips for keeping the engine bay pristine?

AC Condensate
I had some trouble with condensate from the ac backing up due to a pinched drain hose. Once i fixed this i noticed the hose basically goes through the firewall and 30mm into the engine bay.

Newly purchased mk4 golf gti. 180,000kms.on clock. Noticed ticking sounds from engine bay after throttling. I'm pretty sure it's not a tick from the timing belt as it has been changed in the last 6 months but I vaugley remember having this issue...

Electrical Fault - Engine Bay
Hi all,
I have a problem with my MY2016 B8 Petrol wagon. Fuse F5 in the engine bay fuse panel blew twice in one day. This cuts the engine immediately.
All electrics that I can see remain operational and the only thing on the display is "ACC fault".

Multivan T5.1 Back Badge Replacement?

Im looking to replace all of my VW Multivan badges (front/rear VW, Multivan and TDI badges) with black replacements. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to source these. TDI250 Transporter DPF removal/replacment
Has anyone replaced their DPF on a Transporter and have any tips? Guessing its mostly accessed from underneath? Don't have a hoist unfortunately and access from the top of the engine bay doesn't look great.

Unknown loose metal ring under engine cover
Hi Guys,
I have recently begun hearing rattles from the engine bay from my 4 month old MK7 Golf R.
It only really happens when the DSG is in sport mode around 1.5-3k revs.
My thoughts are that its the soundaktor as it seems a common issue. So I have a really quick poke around...
