Using a dj smoke machine to find a vacuum leak

Car is MK4 golf 2002 1.6L engine code AVU

I know I can use a propane torch for this and others use carb cleaner but don’t really want the engine running and flammable items around so would using a dj smoke machine adapted with some tubing do any damage to the car in trying to find a vacuum leak. My concern is MAF sensor damage as I think the rest should be ok.

If its ok to use where would be the best place to connect it to the vacuum system so it gets into all parts.

You could always pull the sensor and tape up the hole?

It might make the car want to take drugs and dance all night long , but i don't think you will have any issues with causing damage etc. Give it a try.

Smoke machine will help but you will also wanna pressure test it as well, it is abit hard to see leaks unless there is pressure as the smoke will just sit in the system.

Lentil can, bike valve, about a pump per psi. That's how I tested mine
