Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

      Yeap

Predicted a stupid reply & say "bugatti"

The normal response when somone questions VW's power or performance "Bugatti Veyron , Bugatti Veyron"

      • It's not a stupid reply... It's fact! Hmmm... I feel I am being dragged down to your level where you will beat me with your experience.

I'm done arguing on this one

          I'd drive one!

looks like a convertible counterpart to the homer mobile.

there are much, much prettier cars in the melburnian [im taking a shot at guessing where you live].

Eureka. And yes there are much, much prettier cars in the 10 levels of parking garage. It's like walking around a private car show! LOL

phew. feel sorry for the poor bastards in the melburnian who look like they're going to get built out somewhat.

ferraris and lambos and astons are all nice, but apart from the homer mobile convertible, is there anything really unique? after living in southbank for a few years, supercars become an everyday thing, but it's things like mint type-3's and peugeot 205 gti's that really stand out in the crowd.

Looks like we are getting graded/judged on levels now! wow.

Then I'm on the bottom of the ladder as a lowly paid, dumb mechanic.

Cause I work on s%$theaps all day & drive a 34 year old s%#theap & live in a trashy house.

Jees it must be nice to have money & pay for everything & everyone else to do work for you.

A few thing's you'll never be able to pay for is common sense, ability, style & experience!!!!!

Nope - that comment wasn't bout grading or judging at all. It was a subtle reference to a very famous quote. Sorry you took it the wrong way.

I don't care who does what or earns what etc - as I said I wasn't referring to any of that, but I completely agree with you last comment and have personally never had issues with any of those... Reminds me of another famous quote though: "youth ages, immaturity is outgrown, ignorance can be educated, but stupid is forever..."
