The round VW caps are ~$22 a set from Aliexpress

Skoda do a nut shaped (not round) cap for about $28

Black bolts are ~$100 off ebay

    cheaper here

Thanks Brad - the black plastic covers (the OEM ones) do not fit with the aftermarket rims (too large). So i have been looking at ones like these which are not as big. Still not 100% sure if they will fit, so that's why i am also considering replacing the bolts altogether for either chrome or black ones. That way i do not have to worry about covers.

Your face was a look of utter confusion.

Still got it, just taking longer to finish. (Got major defect/EPA in subaru so that's taken over a month)

Must say the gti has some street presence!

Confused i was haha. Damn - what did you get busted for in the Subaru?

Yeah the GTI is starting to look alright after a heap of cleaning and some new parts. Still needs some buff and polish time which i just got my new polish for - will do this over the next week or so. New wheels and a bit of lowering made a big difference too.

Turbo, fmic, exhaust, suspension, surge tank, catch can, intake and emissions test.

How's she go compared to the R? Had a race?

Ask your brother to get a price on the Skoda ones - exactly the same. The workshop probably has some lying about.

Can they defect you for some of that stuff? Turbo? Exhaust...too loud? Didnt sound too loud when you went past last night. Catch can i can sort of understand. Intake....i thought if the air filter was enclosed it was ok. Suspension....too low? Emissions....as long as you have a 200cel cat it should be fine?

I was thinking that Brad. I know Audi use a smaller plastic cover on some of their cars....not sure if Skoda do as well? I might go into the dealership on the weekend and have a look.

Fitted a GFB DV+ yesterday evening. I have one of these on the R and it does what its supposed to do.

It replaces the weak links in the factory DV that are prone to leaking/ripping/failing. My car had a revision G DV on it from the factory. With the car now boosting around 20psi i wanted to make sure the DV wasn't going to be leaking on me.

Cop was harsh. Half the stuff he just rattled out his arse.

He can't give emissions defects, intake was in guard.

Only got them cleared that morning she's back to former glory as of 10 minutes ago.

Cheers - yes she likes it. She says the new rims makes it lough 'tough'

Giving it a thorough buff and polish this week to remove some swirls left my the original owner. This new Menzerna buffing compound i got is proving to be quite good.

Done about 200km on them now and they are fine. They ride well. Smoother than my Golf R (although thats probably more due to the 19"s on the R).
