i completly agree you just want it to be noticed by the right person who looks at it for a while. cops will use one little thing to pull you over and then get you for everything. when i had audi spec headlights with the little led lights along the bottom of them i had a copper try to do me :S for them not being stock and meeting some bull**** standards. dont know what they are like down there tho

the sleeper look is good people dont expect what your car can do once that exaust system goes it everyone will be looking around wondering where the heck the noise is coming from do you know if its going to be super quiet at low revs one of my mates has a mk5 gti and its so loud and then soon as he drives sensible it almost sounds stock...

Not sure how its going to go at low revs yet, I've already removed the middle muffler and have a remus straight through rear muffler installed.

At the moment it is reasonably quiet at low revs, I'll let you know what the downpipe does and if I can keep the noise down with a higher gear and a light foot

          Here's a pic

          Again thanks Greg at Carformance

            Old vs new

Took me 2 hours to get the stock one off lol f loads of wd-40 was needed to loosen the bolts on the turbo.

Not much room to play either glad I got the 3 piece

Love the new downpipe, feels and sounds unreal.

Not an easy installation with the limited space but I got it done, the exhaust wrap is steaming a bit .

good to see you going at it yourself tho i struggle with that sort of thing always have to call on mates the exaust wrap is the stop heat isnt it? a mate of mine wrapped up an exaust on his car and it only steamed for a while until it settled in.

Need advice again guys got a strange sound which sounds like it's coming from the turbo, at around or above 16 psi I can hear a squeal a bit like a bad ac or power steering belt. It's not the normal turbo spool sound

Im posting back on my older thread that has all the things I've done to try and work this out.

                    • its pretty easy. Off the top of my head.
Just put the rear of the car on stands. Undo the top strut mounts and you should be able to remove the springs/adjusters.
                      Toss the unrequired pieces/reassemble
