    Thanks Stan, yeah they do.

I havent rolled the guards at all but I have put new front tires on to help, they are scrubbing about as much as the 18s so its not as bad as I was expecting.

Hi all if you've read the thread I've had some problems with boost and not throwing any codes so I just got vagcom for my car and have been doing some logs and a TB adaption.

Since the TB adaption the angle has changed from 3.5 at 840rpm to 2.6 at 840rpm.

The car feels very sluggish down low, does it just need a clean or has it highlighted a bigger issue?

What blocks should I log for existing problems, I've been told it is running rich (when had it lasted scanned).

Well I've done some logs of Intake temps, RPMs and MAF in g/s and converted to psi from bar using rpm and g/s.

I'm running a giac chip and 3" downpipe with a pod.

        Test conditions:
        19c ambient temp
From standstill 1st to third gear pull
3rd gear WOT up a hill throttle off at crest of hill.

Need some help I should be getting more than 9psi or am I missing something or have problems somewhere, I'm not throwing codes but I am running rich.

What block would I look at to work this out.

        RPM

        G/S

        PSI

        Intake

        Any help would be great

            • i did some logs a while back and found the calc for psi from maf/rpm reading is way off checking against my boost gauge
going by your maf reading 151g/s you should be higher than 9psi

Yeah my gauge shows 16-17 while the max the calculated values state is around 9. Keen to get the conversion values right or at least close to what the gauge displays.

I havent tried the bluetooth adapter with torque for a while im using a cheap vagcom cable to get some logs with vcds. Ill try it again tonight and see if it connects with the latest torque app on my phone.

it's quite confusing because i've tried 5 different bluetooth adapters and they all failed...
hopefully, you'll be fine...tell me if you are successful...
                  Cheers

Tried it again last night and no luck.

Ill get a usb to micro usb converter to try the cable I know works with the pc to connect to the phone, the torque developer has added usb support to the app since I last tried it, ill let you know if that works.

Does that gauge sit at zero with the engine off? What does it indicate with the N75 disconnected? Has anyone else driven your car and said, hmmm it's really slow?

I'd say 150g/s is close to 190hp at the crank. Not that far out.......

Hi Gavin, thanks for the response ive been following your comments regarding the n75 vavle on another thread too .

The gauge does sit at 0 when the engine is off when on at idle its at 22hg. With the n75 disconnected the gauge only hits 8psi or close to it.

I havent had another chipped gti driver in the car but it does pull harder with the n75 connected.

Similar to the other thread I had a pop sound come from the engine bay and after that the gauge only hit 16 instead of 21 and I could feel a huge decrease in power.

                          • You heard something under the bonnet. I suspect a split pipe somewhere then. Examined each pipe between the turbo and throttlebody. Preferably visually, use a mirror for any parts you can't see.

I blew a pipe apart on the S3, you couldn't see it without looking properly. I missed it completely on the day and the hole was over 2 inches long.

I'd recommend checking the pcv pipes under the intake manifold, I've had my fair share of fun with them myself. Check the pcv valve itself as we'll because if that's broken it will leak boost, I lost 4psi to that sucker.
