Engine Randomly cutting out

Hi all

My t4 has recently developed a issue where is sometimes cuts out for a spilt second, the revs counter flicks up and then kicks in again.
Its a 2.5ltr petrol 1997

I brought it in today to the local garage to do a scan and it showed a crank shaft sensor error code. The problem been it doesn't happen every day and is very random. I tested my crank shaft sensor and it appear ok. Dont want to fork out for a part which I dont need if mine is OK.

Any ideas????

There is a relay in the T4 that is well known for causing this mine did it as well , Relay number 30 is the BCM relay fixed mine as it also used to cut out without warning .
