I should receive it week, the only thing I am moderately happy with, and I don't know if that really matters, is the Multivan was advertised ( and was told the same over the phone) as 2013 MY14 but checking the VIN I can see that it s a 2013 MY13.So so.Should I complain ?

I'd be pushing for a further discount if that is the case.

There is a possible case of misleading and deceptive conduct here from what you said and that is taken very seriously by regulators and ASIC. In addition representation in writing and verbally of a particular fact means they can be up for substantial penalties. Not necessarily worth reporting, especially if you do want the car, but worth leveraging off.

MY14 production starts mid August if I remember correctly, so if built after that then a MY14.

Further, MY has no effect on trade value in a few years, despite any promises when you buy to that effect, what counts is the build date not MY and not compliance date

Thank you, this was my main concern.i did not negotiate the price as I though it was rightly priced for a MY14 LOL

It would be nice if they could give me an extended warranty as compensation.

When I bought my Comfortline in 2007, it was supposed to be a runout from the batch that had been sold her for some time., Due to a stuffup with the local Brisbane agent, I ended up with one of the newer shipment, which arrived late September 2007. However, the spec brochure I downloaded when I placed the order described the 2008 model & was issued June 2007.

They knew it was a MY13 since the compliance plate is dated 04/13 (it was demonstrator) and the change to MY14 happened in September.

The model MY14 can have a TF in their designation, what does it mean ?
              Thanks

The other thing to do would be to determine what changed from MY13 to MY14. Get the dealer then to either add what was not available on the MY13s or compensate you for the missing items.

From memory not much changed between MY13 and 14, so may not be anything I'd still be pushing for a discount or as you say extended warranty or even a few free services since the dealer verly clearly did something wrong that can be actioned by law.

Unless they give you a huge benefit of at least 5-7 grand go the legal way. Ask them for compo, if the car is year older so to speak then go to redbook and grab the price difference and go from there. They have deliberately ripped you off.
