Not sure if anyone has seen this but it,s a nice idea , imagine if VW built one as a road going model with similar engine .

I’m sure that VW had built the similar concepts in the past. While ago they were testing the V8TDI in Amarok.
Though, I agree with you, that using the passenger car small engine to power the van is not a good think. It would be nice to have the 3.0TDI in Transporter and Crafter.

Is the Hyundai on sale? I see it’s only a prototype.

Sadly no its not , it was a one off build for a special event by the factory , but it shows what manufacturers can do . I remember when a video was posted some time back when the T6 was released , the reviewer went to say that he doubted the engine in one of the lower speced models would be capable of hauling the load it was built for . I had a client last year who bought a brand new Holden Colorado Sport Cat top of range powered by a diesel engine , he took the ute at one week of age to a place here in Brisbane where they transplanted a Holden LS1 V8 into the ute . The conversion looked absolutley like a factory job and boy did that thing fly !! He said that he couldn,t trust the diesel to pull his trailer and that he hated the clacky diesel engine HA HA

I love a company that does something like this for ****s and giggles. Even if it's never going to be a production thing, it's great to see they can have some fun

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
